The library will be open between the hours of 12 and 5 Wednesday, November 26th. We will be closed the 27th and the 28th and open for regular hours on Saturday.

Join us for an evening of holiday planting and learn how to force your own amaryllis bulb. Registration required. Space is limited to 12 adults. Call 673-7888 or stop in to sign up today.
Come to the Library on Saturday November 29th to create a Holiday Lantern just in time for the Mont Vernon tree lighting ceremony later that evening! Craft times are 10am, 11am, Noon and 1pm. Ages 6 and up.
Registration is required, spaces are limited!
Call 673-7888 to reserve a spot today. This activity is the December “Super Saturday” craft, and has been moved up a week to match up with the new Tree Lighting Ceremony date. There will be no Super Saturday activity on Saturday December 6th.

Bring your carved pumpkin to the library on Friday, October 31st and add it to our annual library jack o’ lantern display for all of Mont Vernon to see. Happy, scary, big or small; drop off your pumpkin and we’ll light them all! Drop off pumpkins any time on Halloween.

On March 7th from 3-6 p.m. the Daland Memorial Library hosted a retirement party for Karen McDonald. Did you miss it?
Check out the video photo collage celebrating Karen’s career in Mont Vernon. She started as the Children’s Director in 1997 and became the Library Director in 2003.
