We are looking for an energetic, dependable, library assistant to help with all areas of library management.  Must be 18yrs. or older.

Hours: Wednesdays 5-8pm & Saturdays 10am-1pm.  Rate: $12.38 hr

Start date: Wednesday, August 16th, 2017

Junior Library Assistant:

The library is looking for a rising high school junior for our Junior Library Assistant job. Must be 16 yrs old.

Hours: Tues. 3-5:30pm, Wed. 5-8pm, Thurs. 3-5:30pm & Saturdays 10AM-1PM.  Accommodations for after school sports and clubs cannot be made.  Rate: $9.00hr

Start Date: Tuesday, August 1st, 2017

Professional photographer Arthur Rounds, invites you to attend a 5 week photography class to consider the fundamentals of quality image and output.  Participants will meet at the Daland Memorial Library on Sunday from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday, July 9,16, 23,30, and August 6th.  Topics to be covered include camera systems and operations, composition, light control and image editing.  This class is for intermediate photographers.  Participants should bring their cameras and expect to spend some time outdoors taking photos.  Registration is required.  Space is limited.  Call 673-7888 to hold your spot today!

“Track Your Stack” Adult Summer Reading Challenge

Adults love to read in the summer too!  This summer we are challenging adults to read one book a week, for 10 weeks, and log their titles.  We’ll keep track of your “stack” here at the library and be giving away weekly drawing prizes sponsored by the Friends of the Library.  Adults can start tracking on Tuesday, June 20th- Tuesday, August 29th.  Can you read 10 books this summer?
