Vanished Veterans: An Illustrated Introduction to NH’s Civil War Monuments and Memorials. Thursday, April 25, 7pm at the Mont Vernon Fire Department Community Room. Art, architecture, history, mystery and more. Sponsored by the Daland Memorial Library and the Mont Vernon Historical Society and funded with a grant from the NH Humanities Council. Pond Ecology for Kids
Ever wonder what lives in a pond? Find out Sat, May 11th at 1pm. Kids ages 6 & up are invited to a Wonders of Wildlife program presented by NH Fish and Game Dept. to learn about different life zones and wildlife in a pond. Group will meet at the library for a short presentation and walk to Carleton Pond for a little exploring. Registration required. Call 673-7888 to register today.

Spring Storytime & Lapsit

Registration for Storytime and Lapsit are now open! Storytime will begin on Thursday, May 2nd and will run for 6 weeks. Morning and afternoon sessions available. Ages 3-5 welcome! Lapsit will begin on Tuesday, May 7th at 10AM and is open to children ages 0-36 months. Registration required. Space is limited! Call 673-7888 or stop into sign up today!

Vanished Veterans: NH’s Civil War Monuments and Memorials

This presentation by historian George Morrison will be an illustrated introduction to NH’s Civil War monuments and memorials. Mr. Morrison has located, inventoried and photographed a variety of monuments and will share his discoveries of early obelisks to statues, cast iron ,murals, artillery, stained glass and buildings from the 1860s through the 1920s. Sponsored by the MV Historical Society and the Daland Memorial Library and funded by the NH Humanities Council, this program will take place on Thursday, April 25 at 7pm in the MV Fire Department Community Room. FREE. Refreshments will be served.

Super Saturday Scavenger Hunt
